Commercial Modular Building-Color My World

Add A Little Spring Color To Your Commercial Modular Buildings To Extend The Life Cycle, And Perk It Up

Commercial Modular Buildings have a full variety of finish options available.  Most buildings will show their age as paint fades and as weather takes a toll on the building exterior.

If your modular building  has wood trims be sure to check the caulk & nails.  By keeping your trim fresh and straight, your building will look renewed and last much longer.

Don't be afraid to use accenting or bold colors for your commercial modular building to make a statement in the community and for recognition.     Look at this fun faux brick pattern that was used by a local training academy in Arizona.

Modular Buildings & Modern Technology

Many clients ask can I integrate modern technology into my new modular building. Integration of technology is simple when it is incorporated into the design during the preconstruction phase.

Tips for getting new technology integration:

1. Plan ahead for "future" growth. Always assume your organization will grow and you will need to add more communication stations, more phone lines, etc.
2. Don't just integrate technology into your new modular building based on lowest price. Buying last years technology, will allow you to hobble along, but will not streamline productivity
3. If you have an existing modular building and you are updating your technology, bring the design team and preconstruction team on board to ensure you get proper grounding and fire proofing and safety in place as required

Any technology you want to incorporate into a modular building including military and secured facilities has been utilized. Facilitating your current and future goals for technology implementation is simply a matter of communicating your wants and needs and then having the design team facilitate those goals into a reality.

Can I get more efficient windows in my modular building

Feeling your operations dollars fly out the window? One way to keep your building envelope, and reduces costs is to utilize the right type of windows for your location. There are literally hundreds of window suppliers, and choosing the best value without "overbuying" can increase your energy efficiency.

According to AAMA there are five basic window classifications for performance standards. “R” for Residential, “LC” for Light Commercial, “C” for Commercial, “HC” for Heavy Commercial and “AW” for Architectural. This general rating was replaced with a more modern version in 2008. To qualify for a given performance grade (PG), a representative specimen of the product must pass all required performance tests for the following, in addition to all required auxiliary (durability) tests for the applicable product type and desired performance class:

a) Operating force (if applicable)
b) Air leakage resistance
c) Water penetration resistance
d) Uniform load deflection test
e) Uniform load structural test
f) Forced-entry resistance (if applicable)
It is important to consider location, building facings, wind conditions, application, and other factors when deciding which windows to include in your new modular buildings. By having a team that understands energy efficiencies, and architectural solar factors you will be able to get the best value and return on your investment.
